Interconnected with Biology

How are we becoming interconnected with technology biologically?

Today, we see the use of science and technology and how they make the lives of medical professionals much more easier. Technology helps with the use of modifying living organisms and biological processes to create things such as medical products and more. Technology has expanded greatly throughout the years and is the result for many of the scientific answers we see. Technology works most with DNA in order to find answers to the many unsolvable questions one may have without the use of technology. The technology and its systems has the ability to create the unthinkable. As mentioned in Juan Enriquez’s TED Talk, he mentions a past experiment on how a conservation group tried to breed an animal that was almost extinct. They took the guars cells, coded it and took the cells and inserted it into a cows fertilized egg to create another guar. This shows the possibility of how the DNA and technology can be the answer to many new possibilities. To further explain Eugene Thacker in “An Era of Zoe and Bios?” states, “especially in certain research fields that deal with biomedia, how the process of taking a biological sample (hair, skin, blood), then converting it into DNA sequence data (that is, light pulses), then collating that data into a file, then uploading that file to a genome database…” This further explains the steps on what is done and how its done using specific samples of minor things such as hair and blood. We have become very interconnected with technology biologically and with time we will get closer.
